LinLu Software User Agreement
Updated: September 6, 2026 Effective: September 6, 2026
Welcome to "LinLu" screen recording software (the "Software"), provided by the LinLu developer (the "Provider"). By downloading, installing, activating or using the Software, you agree to read this Agreement carefully. Completing installation, checking "I agree", or actually using the Software means you have fully read, understood and accepted all of this Agreement.
I. Acceptance and Changes
- This Agreement is the legal agreement between you and the Provider regarding use of the Software.
- The Provider may revise this Agreement due to legal changes or product updates. Revised versions are published via in-app notices or the official website. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Agreement; if you do not accept it, stop using and uninstall the Software.
II. Software License
- The Software grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license. All intellectual property (code, UI, icons, docs) belongs to the Provider.
- Without the Provider's written permission you may not: copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble; rent, lend, sell or re-license; remove any marks or copyright notices.
- The Software is green and portable — no registry writes, no system service, no auto-start. Uninstall by deleting the folder, zero residue.
- One activation code is for one device. To switch devices, contact support for a new code; no deactivation needed on the old device.
III. Activation Codes and Membership
- The Software uses activation-code licensing. Codes are generated from your device's machine code and bound to that device, not transferable.
- Each code activates once. After activation it is bound and logged; even deleting config or reinstalling won't let the same code activate again on this or another device (clearing the record by mistake can be restored via support).
- Membership is valid until the expiry date recorded in the code (calendar days, inclusive). After expiry the member features stop; renew to get a new code.
- Codes are authorization credentials — keep them safe, don't share. Loss from voluntary disclosure is on you.
- Codes obtained from unofficial channels may be revoked with no liability.
- No auto-renew. No charge after expiry; you decide whether to renew.
IV. User Conduct
- Use the Software lawfully; don't use it for anything illegal.
- You are responsible for the legality of what you record. Get consent before recording others' portraits, privacy, trade secrets or copyrighted content.
- Don't use the Software to make or spread prohibited content.
- Don't crack or bypass activation by any technical means, including bulk-generating or spreading illegal codes or tools.
V. Third-Party Components
For AI person segmentation the Software uses a third-party open-source component (MediaPipe Selfie Segmentation, Apache License 2.0). It runs only on local video frames and uploads no image or video data.
VI. Disclaimer
- The Software is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider makes no warranty of fitness, error-free operation or uninterrupted service.
- The Provider is not liable for unusability or data loss from force majeure, maintenance, network failure, device fault or third-party conflicts.
- You bear all disputes and legal liability from content you record, store or spread.
VII. Changes and Termination
- The Provider may adjust, upgrade or terminate features per its roadmap, with reasonable prior notice in-app or on the website.
- If you breach this Agreement, the Provider may terminate your license without notice and pursue legal liability.
VIII. Governing Law and Disputes
- This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
- Disputes should be resolved by friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may sue in the court with jurisdiction over the defendant's domicile.

LinLu Privacy Policy
Updated: September 6, 2026 Effective: September 6, 2026
"LinLu" (the "Software") is developed by the LinLu developer (the "Provider"). We know how much your personal information matters, and handle it under the law on a minimum-necessary basis. Please read this Policy before using the Software.
I. Information We Collect
- Device & activation info (collected only at activation):
- Machine code: a 16-char one-way hash of your hardware traits (hostname, OS version, CPU, memory, MAC, etc.), used to generate and verify activation codes;
- Hardware fingerprint (hwId): a stable device ID from Windows MachineGuid etc., used to keep activation across reinstalls / network changes on the same device;
- Activation record: code, time, tier, expiry, device ID, and request source IP.
- Runtime info (stored only locally on your PC):
- Settings (mode, resolution, shortcuts, etc.);
- Logs (for troubleshooting, in local log files).
- We do not collect, upload or store any content you record — screen, camera, mic or system audio. It stays on your PC, fully under your control.
II. How We Use It
- Device & activation info is used only to generate/verify codes, prevent reuse or cross-device abuse, and provide member benefits and support.
- Runtime info is used only for local operation and troubleshooting; never auto-uploaded.
- We don't use your info for ads, and never sell it to any third party.
III. Storage
- Local: settings and runtime data are in
%APPDATA%\linlu-recorder on your PC.
- Server: at activation, the info in I.1 above is sent encrypted to our activation server (linlu.shxgo.cn) and stored as an activation record, to enforce "one code, one use" and later support verification.
- Activation records are kept for a reasonable period after expiry, for after-sales and dispute handling.
IV. Sharing and Disclosure
- We share your info with third parties only in these cases:
- your explicit prior consent;
- mandatory request from law, court or authority;
- evidence preservation for illegal conduct.
- We do not transfer your personal info outside the country.
V. Security
- Activation uses HTTPS encryption.
- Machine code is a one-way hash; we can't recover your original hardware from it.
- We use access control and least-privilege measures to protect the activation server. The internet isn't absolutely safe; we make commercially reasonable efforts.
VI. Your Rights
- You can view version info on the About page, and membership status / expiry in Profile.
- To query, correct or delete your activation record, or revoke authorization, contact support for identity verification.
- Uninstalling stops collection under this Policy (local data can be deleted too).
VII. Minors
The Software is for adults. If under 14, read this Policy with a guardian and use only with their consent.
VIII. Policy Updates
We may revise this Policy; revised versions are published in-app or on the website. For material changes we'll prompt you visibly in-app.
